Once the captain of South Korea’s national surfing team and a champion on the international stage,
Juni Cho no longer defines himself by rankings or medals.
He’s no longer chasing titles.
No longer trying to beat others.
He is now risking his life in search of something far more meaningful.
In Nazaré, Portugal—home to the world’s largest waves, towering up to 20+ meters high—Juni prepares to face the ultimate force of nature.
But this isn’t just a story about one man chasing a giant wave.
This is the story of someone who once stood at the edge of life, ready to give up—but instead chose to live.
And now, he wants to give that same courage to others.
Over the past year and a half, our team has been documenting the life and transformation of Juni Cho, a former national surfing champion from South Korea. Now, as he prepares to take on the monstrous waves of Nazaré, Portugal, we are heading there with him to complete the final chapter of this powerful story.
This is not just a documentary about surfing.
It’s about life, death, rebirth—and the courage to face it all.
